For anyone interested in purchasing this item for a Petroliana collection, the cosmetic appearance of the can will likely be of importance. As can be seen in the photos, the can has endured some slight wear since it was first manufactured in the 1950’s. There are a couple of spots where the covering has worn through, there was also some kind of red paint that managed to make its way onto its surface. There is a slight indentation on the top end of one the sides, as well. The can still stands straight up and down on its own very well and doesn’t rock or move in its own, so it will continue to make fantastic wall or shelf decor whether it’s for garages, workshops, man caves, or a Petroliana collection!
